Walls down, light in
A closed-off, oak-everything kitchen — a wall boxing in the dining room and a pantry nobody used. Doug took the wall down, reworked the layout, and opened it into one bright, connected space to cook and gather in.
A dated bath, reimagined
A tired, closed-in bathroom — oak vanity, corner tub, worn tile — rebuilt into a spa retreat: a freestanding soaking tub, a marble walk-in shower, and a backlit double vanity. Eight weeks, start to finish.
Golden oak, opened up in white
Golden-oak cabinets, a wallpaper border and black built-in appliances left this kitchen dark and closed in. Doug reworked it in crisp white with a black island, marble counters and lantern pendants — the same footprint, opened up and full of light.
From oak and wallpaper to sage and stone
Arched oak cabinets, a wallpaper border and a boxed-in layout dated this kitchen by decades. Doug rebuilt it in sage-green shaker with quartz counters, a stone backsplash and modern stainless — warm and current, and built right over the home's original knotty-pine floors.
